Serbia Bird Photography Trip – June 2025

In June I went to Serbia with Paul Miguel Photography, this was my first proper bird trip.  I was a little apprehensive about the trip but was so excited to go as I knew I would see some amazing birds not seen in the UK.

I certainly had some target species in mind as never seen them before, one being the Bee-eater and the other the Red Footed Falcon, but I knew there would be more species to see as well.

As the week progressed, we used different hides for the chosen subject, including Tower Hide, Low Level Water Hides, Woodland Drinking / Reflection Pools and Pop-Up hides for Bee-eater and Hoopoes.  We spent around 4-5 hours at a time in the hides; this certainly was tiring and on occasion very hot, but worth it.

It was such an experience seeing these amazing birds in their natural habitat.  I have added a few images below to show some of the birds seen on the trip.  I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
